Christmas Eve Scavenger Hunt 2011

For the past three years, my parents have created a scavenger hunt for my wife, sister and I to do around Fort Wayne. This years hunt was focused at Glenbrook Mall.

Started with a key to a locker that held a clue…

<FW>

first clue led us to Starbucks, where they had a tin waiting for us with another clue… <FW>

which led us to Le Gourmet Chef, where we bought two useful utensils… <FW>

then we went to the next locker and found another tin…

<FW>

which instructed us to ring jingle bells with Salvation Army bell ringers…

<FW>

Our next clue instructed us to text a number and wait for directions. We figured it was someone at the mall that my dad had set up to watch us. Ended up being one of his friends in Oklahoma, but her instructions sent us into J.C. Penny’s to purchase two towel/washcloth pairs…

<FW>

That we stuffed into a tin and dropped off at Habitat For Humanity’s gift wrapping station at the mall. While there, we couldn’t resist taking a picture at Santa’s chair!

The last clue, which they had waiting for us at the wrapping station, contained $21 to spend either three ways or one way. We opted for a gift card from Red Robin so that we could all do a family dinner sometime soon. (Added $4 of our own and got a $5 bonus card, too!)

Already excited for the 2012 hunt!
